Talk of zoos in class today reminded me of this video I saw a few years back. It's basically a safety drill in Japan that is supposed to mimic animals escaping from their enclosures.

This seems like a bit of a pointless exercise, to say the least. I don't think there's any way to truly predict how an animal will react (since an animal may have its own unique response to any given stimuli) or perfectly replicate a situation such as this. This also raises concerns regarding the nature of zoos and if we should even have them should a situation like this arise.

Even so, it's kind of a cute and entertaining video.
